I didn't build Calmify because I wanted to start a company I built it because I was tired of the modern web stealing my attention.
Every website seemed designed to keep me scrolling instead of helping me learn or work. I wanted a browser that worked for me, not against me.
So, as a solo founder, I started building Calmify: a privacy-first Chrome extension that removes distractions, blocks unwanted content, and helps people stay focused. Everything runs locally on your device no accounts, no tracking, no cloud.
This is just the beginning. My goal is simple: give people back control of their time and attention, one website at a time.
One thing I'd keep testing is whether people are trying to block distractions or protect their attention.
Those sound similar, but they lead to different products. Blocking websites is a feature. Helping someone consistently do the work they intended to do is the outcome they'll remember.
