Build in Public #1: Remote Jobs in Your City

Hey Indie Hackers,

I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on: NearbyRemote.com — a job board for remote jobs within your local city.

The idea came from my own experience working remotely. While I love the flexibility, working with coworkers in different states can feel isolating. It made me wonder: How many people would prefer remote work with the option to connect locally?

So far, no jobs have been posted yet, but I’m excited to see where this goes!

I’d really appreciate any feedback on the concept, the site, or how I can improve it.

Thanks so much!

Would you prefer to work with a remote team in the same city as you?
  1. Yes, for the purpose of occasional in-person business meetings
  2. Yes, for the purpose of occasional in-person lunches/social events
  3. Yes, both 1 & 2
  4. No, I don't care where my team is
