"Build in Public"... Any effective Strategies for Code-Loving Indie Hacker?

Hi everyone!

I've been hearing a lot about the concept of "building in public" lately, and I must admit, it has piqued my interest. But what does it truly mean? How can we, as code-loving indie hackers, embrace this concept while still staying true to our passion for coding rather than spending excessive time on social media?

First off, let's define what "building in public" means. From my perspective, it involves sharing your journey, progress, successes, and even failures openly with the community. It's about allowing others to witness the evolution of your projects, gaining insights, feedback, and support along the way.

But striking the right balance between coding and building in public can be challenging.

As someone who loves to code, I find myself more comfortable behind my IDE than spending hours on social media platforms. However, I'd like to explore effective strategies that allow me to leverage the power of building in public without compromising my coding time. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this!

On a related note, I recently launched my latest project, https://bluright.com, an online tool that makes it easy for people to blur/highlight/spotlight any area of their image. However, I must admit that due to my intense focus on building and solving the problem, I overlooked developing a comprehensive marketing strategy. Now, I'm determined to find a better way to promote my upcoming projects right from the beginning.

I'd greatly appreciate your advice and insights. How can I optimize my next project's promotion without neglecting my passion for coding? Have any of you found successful strategies that strike a balance between coding and marketing? Let's come together and explore different approaches that resonate with code-loving indie hackers.

Please share your thoughts, experiences, and suggestions below.

P.S. Feel free to check out my previous project, https://bluright.com, and share any feedback you may have. While it lacks a marketing strategy, I'm excited to learn from my mistakes and apply your advice to my future endeavors.
