Here’s how to build a fully automated, no-code cold outreach funnel using three tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator (yes, it’s paid), Clay (for enrichment and AI personalization), and Instantly (to send smart email sequences).
It’s the exact system I’d build if I were starting over today — fast, lean, and effective.
Let’s get into it.
Cold outreach fails when you target the wrong people. So we start with intent.
Open LinkedIn Sales Navigator and create a saved search. Filter by:
Spend 15–20 minutes tightening this list. Don’t overthink it. Just build something directionally correct. You’ll adjust later.
And yes — Sales Navigator costs money. About $100/month. But if you're serious about lead gen, it's a no-brainer investment.
💡 Heads up: While LinkedIn doesn’t offer an official API for exporting leads, some founders use tools like Evaboot, PhantomBuster, or TexAu, which simulate human browsing to pull data from search results.
These tools aren’t officially approved by LinkedIn, and misuse can trigger account warnings. That said, used conservatively (low volume, slow scraping, daily limits), they’re widely used by solo founders and agencies alike.
Now that you’ve got your list, export it.
You can use tools like PhantomBuster, TexAu, or Evaboot to pull the data from LinkedIn. You’ll end up with a spreadsheet of names, roles, companies, and profile links.
That list on its own isn’t useful — yet. But we’re about to turn it into gold.
Here’s where the real leverage kicks in.
Upload that CSV into Clay. Clay acts like an AI research assistant for your leads — one that works 24/7, never complains, and doesn’t charge hourly.
Once imported, Clay can:
Pricing: Clay starts at $134/month (billed annually) for the Starter plan. They also offer a free trial with limited credits — so you can test the flow without risk.
If you’re serious about outbound, the time savings and depth of automation make it a high-leverage tool, especially compared to hiring an SDR or researcher.
Simple email structure to use in Clay:
Imagine uploading 100 leads… and getting 100 personalized emails back in 15 minutes. That’s the power here.
Now that your leads are enriched and personalized, it’s time to send.
Upload your list into Instantly — a cold outreach platform that handles everything from warm-up to follow-up. You’ll create your sequence, set fallback rules (in case any data is missing), and let it run.
Pricing: Instantly starts at $37.90/month for solo builders. That gives you access to over 450 million B2B contacts, 1,500–2,000 outreach credits, multiple data providers, and AI tools like their email writer agent and web researcher.
Heavier senders can upgrade to $77.60/month or $169.30/month for more credits and faster scaling — but most solo founders can start on the lowest plan and grow from there.
There’s also a free trial, so you can try it before committing.
The big win here is that you’re not manually sending cold emails. You’re letting a system handle it — consistently and safely.
Once you’ve run a few campaigns manually and the process is working, you can automate the workflow — so it runs while you sleep.
Here’s how to put it on autopilot using the same tools:
Sales Navigator: Start by creating a saved search for your ideal leads. Sales Navigator will automatically refresh that search and surface new matches over time — so even without automation, you can log in weekly and grab fresh leads manually.
If you want to automate this step completely, tools like PhantomBuster or Evaboot can revisit your saved searches, scrape new profiles, and export them into a spreadsheet automatically.
Clay: Set up an automation (using Zapier, Make, or CSV sync) that takes those scraped leads and adds them to your Clay table. From there, Clay can enrich each contact with email, company info, and AI-written intros — just like in your manual setup.
Instantly: Once Clay has enriched your leads and written the emails, the next step is getting those contacts into Instantly so they can be sent. There are a few simple ways to do that:
Whichever method you choose, the goal is the same: turn those enriched leads into live, scheduled outreach — without repetitive busywork.
If you want to get even more tailored (say, you're pitching a premium offer), you can have Clay pull research summaries for each company using Perplexity or ChatGPT.
That means your cold emails don’t just say “Hey, noticed you're a founder” — they say:
“Hi, Maria! Saw you recently launched a Shopify integration — love the direction. Curious if you’ve thought about automating your lead qualification flow to support the new traffic?”
That’s what makes people reply.
That's awesome. I made LeadCarnival for LinkedIn outreach automation. Always happy to learn innovative growth hacks.
Hey folks,
I’m a solo founder working on a tool that helps app founders launch campaigns automatically. Instead of spending 4 weeks coordinating with agencies and designers, you just drop your app link and Rainwater auto-generates GTM + creatives + campaigns in a few hours.
I’m giving early access (with free credits) to a few founders who want installs quickly. If you’re building an app, DM me and I’ll share an invite code.
Would also love feedback from this community 🙌
This is gold . You can actually build your first campaign over a weekend. Saving this for later
I do something similar and it's WAY more complicated that it's presented here. the framework is accurate, however it simply cannot be automated in the way the author is suggesting. It needs constant grooming. I have VA's do most of it, and even then it's way more expensive and time-consuming than I would like it to be.
Setting up a cold email marketing funnel is months of ongoing work using multiple complex specialized tools; not a weekend project. And that's before we even get to AI personalization.
Pitching 'effortlessly automate extremely complex workflows' have either never done it or (shocker!) they're selling something.
Build this AI-powered cold outreach system in a weekend - no SDR, no coding required. Automate lead generation, personalize outreach, and boost conversions effortlessly with smart AI tools and workflows.
This no-code cold outreach system is a game-changer for solo founders. By automating lead generation, enrichment, and emailing, it saves time and boosts efficiency. Highly recommend trying it!
Exactly. I’ve been testing similar flows recently, and the big win is how repeatable they are once set up. I’ve actually built a lean version for myself where new leads enrich + sequence automatically in the background. Feels like having an SDR team without the overhead.
Have you ever had your LinkedIn account flagged or restricted using this workflow, and if so, how did you handle it?
Very cool. I’ve been looking into ways to handle outreach without relying on a big SDR team. Curious to know, what kind of response rates have you seen with this approach compared to more traditional cold email setups?
Perhaps we can create a Chrome extension to solve similar problems.
sounds good
Do you think your first step of finding companies based on keywords or generic filters a bit too broad? I feel you need to use something like bloomberry or builtwith to find companies that removed a tech or started using a tech…
getting people to reply - the holy grail! thanks for this.
