Build vs. Buy?
Just introduced to the Indie Hackers community today. I had been on the lookout for SaaS companies to buy, to operate as an Indie Hacker, and a friend recommended I come here.
For background, I'm a full stack engineer with an MBA. I've built and sold one company, a software agency. I'm now looking for a new side project.
Question for the community is, should I build or buy? Would love any insight.
For me, I'm not sure that I'd ever buy, unless it was a /very/ new business with little to no customer base. Basically buying a platform, more so than a business.
I feel like otherwise, there's a ton of domain knowledge that you can't just purchase, unless you're in the market to acquihire.
