I am bootstrapping PDFPipe, an API that turns HTML or a template into a PDF. As boring as it gets, which is the point.
The market is real and proven (ScreenshotOne hit 13k MRR solo in this adjacent space, mostly through SEO). It is also crowded. So the product is not the moat, the wedge is:
Flat pricing against competitors who use confusing credit systems.
A 500/month free tier, 10x the usual 50, which I can sustain because I run lean from India.
Security as a real selling point (SSRF-sandboxed rendering), since most of the incumbents have been popped this way.
Agent-native distribution: an MCP server so AI copilots can call it directly. That channel is forming now and not yet saturated.
The plan is a long SEO and integrations game, 18 to 24 months, not an overnight thing. Landing page and waitlist are live, the rendering engine works.
If you generate PDFs in your product, I would love to know what you use and what it costs you. Waitlist: https://pdfpipe.xyz
