Hey IH community,
Dominik here. As a product designer, I've seen so many founders (myself included) get stuck on branding. You have a great product, but creating a decent logo, a simple brand guide, and some basic marketing assets feels like a huge, expensive distraction from building.
So, for my latest side project, I'm trying to fix that. It's called FirMate.
The idea is a simple app that acts as your brand sidekick. You give it a business name and some details, and it helps generate your core brand from scratch – think logo options, color palettes, a one-page brand strategy, business card designs, social media templates, etc. It's aimed squarely at bootstrappers and solopreneurs who dont have the time or cash to hire a designer right at the start.
We're about two months away from a launchable MVP, and I want to make sure we're not just building something cool, but something genuinely useful.
So, I wanted to ask you guys directly:
As fellow indie hackers, does this sound like something you'd actually use for a new project?
What's the absolute must-have feature for you in a tool like this? What's the one branding task you hate the most and wish you could automate?
Appreciate any and all feedback—the more brutally honest, the better.
Cheers!
