Building a browser bookmarking tool
Hey everyone,
I am planning on rebuilding one of my applications called LinksBook.
It is a tool to help when bookmarking webpages and organising them into collections...
The collections can then be shared with the public or kept private.
I believe the old version was hard to use, had bad UI/UX and was unstable.
The old pricing plans was also pretty bad imo.
New Plan
I want to rebuild the new version with better UI/UX and a Chrome extension alongside so it is even easier to use...
I also want to add a feature for sharing the collections or link straight from desktop to mobile and vice versa (figuring out a way to do so).
More features in mind but I have to think about them again.
I just want to know if you would use such a tool in the first place. I am open to suggestions.

Here is my never-ending problem with bookmarks - I create a folder for a certain type of bookmark, it grows bloated, I want to be able to organize them once I have a ton of them but I need to see what they are and annotate them and then be able to drag and drop them into groups, and in order within the groups. I just end up with huge lists of bookmarks under folder names like "grow" or "project" or "work". Folders are where bookmarks go to die for me. How about a screen thats half browser on one side, half bookmarks on the other and I can do drag and drop and annotate and order on one side and view them on the other? I care less about sharing and having them follow me from one device to another, I care about leveraging them, for me its 97% organize and 3% share. This I would PAY for and it could be cloud based - interface and bookmarks, it could synch dynamically or pick-and-choose to add/drop.
First thank you so much for your detailed reply. You have a good point here... So maybe just someone can bookmark and annotate (like sports) and [if] need be, organise them into categories via a simplistic drag-n-drop UI. And later on, can search them straight away without navigating btw bookmark folders.
For the half browser half bookmarks feature, I can't seem to get a correct view of it in mind... Care discussing about it? I would love to hear more from you.

This definitely would be useful for me given that I am a power user of the bookmark feature.
Personally, I would not share my bookmarks with others - not that I don't want to but others might not find them useful.
I am not sure if I would end up paying for it given the current value I get from the tool.
Okay I got that... I still emphasize it will be free for the most part so I do not think there will be any restrictions around there...
Alright, as a bookmark power user, if anything more you think can be improved then let me know.
