Building a Business Card Scanner App – Looking for Feedback

Hi Indie Hackers 👋
I'm currently building a mobile app called:
Business Card Scanner (scan cards, extract contacts, save to phone).
The goal is to make networking easier by quickly converting physical business cards into digital contacts.
Main features of the app:
• Scan a business card using the camera
• Extract contact information (name, phone, email, company)
• Save the information directly to the phone contacts
• Scan QR codes printed on business cards
• Crop business cards and save them to the gallery
Here is a quick demo video of the app:

Google Play:

I'm still improving the app and would really appreciate feedback from the community.
Questions for you:
Do you still collect business cards at events or meetings?
Would you use an app like this?
What feature would make it more useful?

Nice idea — networking events still generate a surprising number of physical cards.
I’ve seen similar tools before, but accuracy and quick export to contacts usually make the biggest difference.

Out of curiosity, how well does the scanning work with cards that have unusual layouts or multiple languages?

Thanks! Accuracy was one of the main things I focused on. The app combines local parsing with AI-based extraction, which helps handle different layouts and multiple languages. It works well with most standard cards, though very unusual designs can still be tricky. I’m continuously improving it using real-world card examples.

That makes sense. Mixing local parsing with AI extraction sounds like a solid approach. Real-world card designs can be pretty chaotic sometimes 😅 but it’s cool that you’re improving it with real examples.
