Do we need better AI models, or better AI habits? I built ThinkMode, a Chrome extension that encourages more intentional AI use through structured thinking modes. No accounts, no cloud sync, no external AI APIs. Looking for feedback and validation.
The thing that stood out to me wasn't the extension itself.
It was that products like this often end up sitting between behavior change and productivity tooling, even when they start with a much clearer intention.
That can create some surprisingly different signals early on.
that's a good insight, what signals would you look out for?
That's actually why I stopped short originally.
The signals themselves are usually less interesting than the decision they end up justifying.
I've seen the same behavior get interpreted as evidence of productivity, habit formation, accountability, convenience, and a few other things depending on what the founder already believes.
Probably more than I'd try to unpack properly in a thread though.
