Building a community, any advice?

I'm going to build a community around my HR software reviews site - any tips on where to get started? Loved the IH podcast with Makerpad and Unreal Collective. Other good resources to learn how to do this right? Should I be dong this myself or hiring someone who's built an online community before? Should it just be around buying HR software, or HR in general?
