Hi Indiehackers, I recently joined and am excited to be a part of this community!
For the last 10+ years I've been actively trading options and really enjoy it.
A lot of people ask me how to get into Options and my belief is that you need to jump in and use real money to learn. Paper trading accounts don't bring out the emotional side of trading.
Tastyworks is the number 1 options trading platform in the market right now. You have the ability to follow some of the traders on staff and duplicate their trades with one click.
Chasing volume is not a new strategy in trading, and it doesn't always positive returns. But it is a way to have some validation in a directional bias.
The idea is to have an app that gives you an alert when there is a huge institutional size order (>$2M in premium) of an opening option order, and have a 1 click way to duplicate the order.
I'm currently pulling data from the CBOE and am sending alerts to 20+ subscribers of this platform. Usually about 0-3 per day.
I sent a link to this idea to the founder of Tastyworks, Tom Sosnoff, and am meeting with him on Wednesday to discuss the idea.
He has the data, and the tech/team to build out this feature himself, however he doesn't have me - someone who is passionate about this idea/product who could work as a product owner and launch it quickly.
Do you think it would be an attractive offer to him to come on as a product owner and work for equity in the product's upside?
