Building a free AI toolkit for pet owners — would love your thoughts.

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been working on a project called PetsFreely — a free platform that helps pet owners make smarter, data-driven decisions about their pets.

The idea came from a simple frustration:
there’s a lot of pet advice online, but it’s often scattered, generic, or hard to trust.

So I wanted to build something more practical.

🐶 What I built

PetsFreely focuses on turning complex pet care knowledge into simple tools:

  • Health calculators (BMI, calorie needs)

  • Safety tools (e.g. chocolate toxicity checker)

  • Lifecycle tools (age conversion, pregnancy tracking)

  • AI tools (name generator, coat color predictor)

Everything is free and designed to give quick, usable answers instead of long articles.

💡 Why this matters

Pet care decisions are often time-sensitive.

For example:

  • “Did my dog eat too much chocolate?”

  • “Am I overfeeding my cat?”

In these moments, people don’t want to read blog posts —
they want clear, instant answers.

That’s what I’m trying to solve.

⚙️ Challenges so far

A few things I’m still figuring out:

  • Making outputs accurate enough to be trusted (using vet-backed formulas)

  • Keeping UX extremely simple (tools > content overload)

Balancing “fun AI tools” vs “serious health tools”

🎯 What I’d love feedback on

  • Does this actually solve a real problem for pet owners?

  • Would you trust tools like this for health-related decisions?

  • What’s missing that would make it more useful?
