Hello Indie Hackers! π
I wanted to share my project that I've been building for the last month and a half: Quantum Commerce Pro.
The Problem:
In my region (Algeria), local store owners struggle with outdated, crash-prone POS systems and unreliable internet, plus strict international payment card regulations.
The Solution:
I built a "Local-First" standalone POS and inventory suite that runs fully offline on a local Node.js & SQLite engine, but provides a beautiful, premium modern UI and built-in local AI OCR for invoice scanning.
I also created a simple direct-to-WhatsApp activation flow which fits our local merchant payment habits perfectly (using local DZD transfers like BaridiMob).

I would love to connect with other builders, get your feedback, and learn how you handle local market constraints in your countries!
The local-first angle is genuinely interesting β most POS products assume always-on internet, and Algeria (and plenty of other markets) make that a real constraint, not a footnote. Two thoughts on the page: (1) a store owner should be able to tell in the first screen what problem it solves β lead with \"POS that works offline\" rather than the product name + description. (2) GitHub Pages is fine for a demo, but a custom domain (even a cheap .dz or .com) and a \"who is this for\" line will matter when you show it to local merchants β they judge trust in the first seconds. Also consider one concrete screenshot of the app UI near the top; the \"premium modern UI\" is a selling point you're hiding.
The local-first approach makes a lot of sense when unreliable internet is part of the day-to-day reality. I also like the WhatsApp activation flow β small details like that can make a product feel much more natural to the market itβs built for.
