Building a “Productivity Mentor” I Couldn’t Find, Based on my AI-generated Work Journal

Hi ✋🏼,

I wanted a tool that understands how I work (and spend time on projects)- something like a productivity analyzer + a mentor that tells me where I’m wasting time and how to improve.

And Insight about my workday, like an automatic work log and journal

I couldn’t find anything that really did that… so I built it.

It’s called Didon, a Mac app that captures your work activity based on screenshots. The goal is to help you work smarter, not just longer.

I’m building it as a solo maker and still shaping the direction — especially around AI-powered analysis and actionable feedback.

Would love to hear what you think 🙏

This is a useful angle because most productivity tools only show activity, but they do not help someone understand the pattern behind the activity. The “work journal plus mentor” framing is stronger than another tracker because it moves the product from passive logging into actual behavior feedback.

The naming is the part I would pressure-test early. Didon is short and clean, but it does not immediately carry the idea of work intelligence, workflow analysis, or an AI productivity layer. Since the app is based on screenshots and work activity, trust and clarity matter a lot. Users need to feel that the product is serious, private, and useful before they let it observe their day.

If you are still shaping the direction, this is probably the right time to decide whether the brand should feel more like a personal productivity app or a broader AI work operating layer.

Xevoa .com would fit the second direction better because it feels more like a modern workflow/productivity platform, and it leaves room for work logs, AI analysis, habits, feedback, and team-level productivity insights later.
