Building a prospecting tool for web agencies (because I needed it myself)

Hey IH 👋

I run a web agency, and for years the hardest part was never building the websites, it was finding local businesses worth pitching and qualifying them fast enough to actually reach out.

Every prospecting tool I tried was built around LinkedIn or big B2B databases. But the prospects a web agency actually wants (local restaurants, tradespeople, shops with an outdated or missing website) live on Google Maps, not LinkedIn.

So I built TheWebLead. You search a niche + city, it pulls local businesses from Google Places, enriches each one with official legal data (SIRET in France, BCE in Belgium, UID in Switzerland), scores their website-redesign potential with AI, and generates a branded audit you can send straight to the prospect. There's a built-in CRM with follow-up cadences and audit open-tracking, so you know the moment a prospect opens your audit.

Where I'm at: it's live at theweblead.fr, bootstrapped, solo founder, covering France, Belgium and Switzerland. Early users are real web agencies, and right now I'm focused on turning that early usage into the first paying customers.

I'll share what I learn building this in public. Would love feedback from anyone who's done outbound for an agency or a local-services audience.
