Building a README for yourself
Hey all,
Long time listener, first time caller
I wanted to share a project I'm working on and hopefully get roasted in the process.
https://readmefirst.co is an app where you create a README for yourself. It's meant to be a single file that describes anything and everything about you personally and/or professionally.
Inspired by Gitlab's READMEs I thought it would make a fantastic way to share who you are with people online.
It's still very early days for the product and there's a lot to do, but I wanted to start documenting my building process early here and on twitter @teamreadme. Let me know your thoughts!
I think you should think about how it relates to “Personal User Guides”: the benefit of a PUG is it improves the communication inside the company as people can describe their preferences.

What’s the business model?
Thanks! Right now I'm working on getting the personal README sections built out, so people can include links to them in Twitter bios, Linkedin, etc... Those will always be free.
I think there's a fun opportunity in allowing organizations to have dedicated accounts so you can see all your coworker's READMEs, with optional private sections for work-sensitive sections, and various integrations into business systems. That would come along with some pricing, but I'll have to test that out.
