Building a side project community

Hello,

I have been building a community that builds side projects together for 60 days now and there are so many lessons that I learned.

The community aims to allow people to collaborate easily and the first thing that I did was try to start working on project day 1. This turned out to be a bit hasty as ideas were not validated and this meant that we had to have an early dormancy of the project (after 3 weeks). Throughout this process, I have been tracking how much work has been done daily. 100 total hours were achieved on the day that we decided to chill on the project.

Now as a community we are looking to learn our lessons and are in the process of validating two more ideas.

This is the most fun I have ever had building! Looking forward to continuing this journey!

Lessons learned:
1: Make sure that you have market fit
2: A project is only as strong as a teams commitment
3: Building with strangers is fun
