Building a simulator for the most chaotic World Cup in history.

For decades, the World Cup format was simple. In 2026, everything changed: 48 teams, 12 groups, and 104 matches. The biggest headache? The new Round of 32, where the 8 best third-place teams advance. Tracking who plays whom across different groups by hand or using spreadsheets is a total nightmare.

I built cup26predictor to solve this exact problem. It automates all the complex cross-group dependencies so football fans can instantly simulate "what-if" scenarios, lock in their brackets, and share them with friends in just a few clicks. It’s taking a massive, messy tournament format and making it simple and fun.
