Building a streaming platform for AI-created content, solo, on night shifts — beta is live

I work nights. I've been building RiftStream in the hours around that — a streaming platform built specifically for AI-created movies, music, and shorts. The beta is live at app.riftstream.tv, and I'm aiming for a full launch next month.

The reason it exists: AI has let a whole wave of people create things that used to need studios and budgets. But that work has no real home. It's scattered across platforms built for something else, where it gets buried or treated as a novelty. So I'm building the home for it — creators keep 100% ownership, every piece is labeled for how AI shaped it, and the audience actually came looking for this kind of work.

Where I'm at: beta live, Delaware C-corp approved, auth and database built, waitlist growing, and I'm hand-recruiting creators one DM at a time. No investors, no team, no runway — just paychecks and nights.

What surprised me: the creators who respond most seriously aren't the "type a prompt, post it" crowd. They're people doing real craft work with AI as one tool in a longer pipeline, frustrated with how existing platforms treat them. That reframed who I'm actually building for.

The part that scares me most isn't the code — it's the cold start. A two-sided platform with no creators is worthless to viewers, and vice versa. I'm seeding content myself and recruiting by hand, but I'd genuinely welcome input from anyone who's bootstrapped through that.

Beta's open if you want to poke at it. Happy to answer anything about the build.
