Building a student-focused startup newsletter — would love feedback
Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I’m a freshman CS student at Notre Dame, and I’ve been working on a project called Launch Letter — a newsletter for college students and young builders who are trying to start stuff (side hustles, SaaS, newsletters, whatever) while managing school, jobs, and life.
The goal is to make each issue feel like a mix of:
Personal lessons from what I’m building
Small business ideas that are actually doable as a student
Resources, tools, and experiments that others can steal or build on
I'm sending out my first issue this Sunday — and now I’m trying to figure out how to:
Keep it useful and consistent
Grow it without being annoying or overly promotional
Stay focused instead of constantly chasing new projects
If you’ve built a newsletter, I’d genuinely love any feedback on what you wish you did differently early on — or even thoughts on what you’d want to see from something like this.
