Building a Tiny Tool Around a Surprisingly Popular Search: "10 KPH to MPH"
While working on UnitMorph, I noticed something interesting.
Most people think unit converters only get traffic from big keywords like "km to miles" or "kg to lbs."
But when I started digging deeper, I found hundreds of very specific searches that people make every day.
One example:
"10 KPH to MPH"
At first glance, it seems too specific to matter.
But then I realized people search for exact speed conversions all the time:
- Walking speeds
- Running speeds
- School projects
- Fitness tracking
- Vehicle speed comparisons
- International travel
Instead of forcing users to calculate manually, I created a dedicated page that answers the question instantly and explains the conversion.
For anyone curious:
10 kilometers per hour equals approximately 6.21 miles per hour.
I also added a simple converter, formula, examples, and FAQs so visitors can convert other values without leaving the page.

One thing I've learned while building UnitMorph is that long-tail keywords often reveal very specific user intent. Sometimes a keyword that looks tiny on the surface solves a real problem for real people.
I'm currently expanding the site by creating more focused conversion pages and improving the educational content around each converter.
