Building a writing tool taught us that word count isn't the goal
One thing we've learned while building our Word Counter is that writers often focus on hitting a target word count.
But readers don't care whether an article has 800 words or 2,000 words.
They care whether it answers their question clearly.
We still think word count is useful but more as a review tool than a success metric.
