Building an AI Layer for Smarter Job Applications

I’m exploring an idea and would love feedback.

What if a Chrome extension could:

• Read the full job description when you open a job post
• Analyze your resume against it
• Generate a tailored version of your resume for that role
• Score your fit based on requirements
• Highlight missing skills or weak signals

Instead of mass applying, the goal is smarter applying.

Right now most job seekers:

Copy/paste resumes

Guess whether they’re qualified

Rewrite manually

Or rely on generic AI prompts

This would turn every job page into a decision dashboard:

“Here’s your match score.
Here’s what to adjust.
Here’s a tailored resume draft.”

It wouldn’t auto-apply.
It would help you apply strategically.
