Hey AI builders 👋
I'm working on Qualion — an AI-powered quality assurance tool for professional documents and workflows.
The idea: most document review processes are still manual and repetitive. Qualion uses AI to automatically catch formatting issues, inconsistent terminology, missing sections, and style violations before a human ever has to.
I already built DocSafe (AI doc cleaner Word, PDF, PPT), and the #1 feedback I kept getting was: "Can you also check if our documents follow our internal standards?" That's Qualion.
Currently in early MVP phase. Would love to hear from anyone who:
Drop a comment or DM me all feedback welcome!
What's been the hardest part of getting professionals in document-heavy industries who struggle with document review to respond to your outreach? I happen to know a few professionals in document-heavy industries personally and could intro you to a couple for free.
Honestly? The hardest part is that the pain is invisible until it bites. Nobody wakes up thinking I need a tool to check my documents before sending they think about it for 48 hours after a client spots a tracked change, a leftover comment, or pricing that contradicts the SOW. So cold outreach lands in a this would be nice, bucket instead of a I need this Tuesday bucket. The shift happens when I get someone to upload one real proposal they sent last month 9 times out of 10 we surface something they didn't know was there, and the conversation changes instantly. I'd genuinely appreciate intros.
Even one or two. My ICP is engineering consulting firms, legal, sales-heavy SMBs in francophone Europe, but I'll happily talk to any document-heavy pro in English to pressure-test the positioning. DM me whenever.
The members of "replyz" could help you with this. The whole idea is that you can connect directly with the exact type of people you're looking for and get thoughtful responses from them. You just describe who you want answers from and ask your question. Since it's community-driven, people are also encouraged to share their own experiences and insights with others too.
This is a strong idea, especially if you’re targeting people who actually rely on documents for decisions (legal, business, etc.).
One thing I’d be curious about: how are you handling edge cases where the content looks high quality but is actually misleading or incomplete?
I’ve noticed that’s where a lot of AI outputs fall apart not obvious errors, but subtle ones that still pass a “quality” check.
Good question, and it's the one I'm most careful about. We don't try to catch semantic correctness, that's a trap. Qualion only flags things that are actually detectable: metadata, hidden comments, tracked changes, placeholders, sensitive data, pricing that contradicts the scope. Anything that needs human judgment about whether a claim is true, we surface it but we don't decide.
For the "looks clean but is misleading" case, two things help. The scoring has a RED/AMBER/GREEN logic where AMBER literally means "a human needs to look at this, don't treat it as a pass". And on anything that touches business risk, we flag only, the user decides. So a high score doesn't mean the document is safe to send, it means the mechanical hygiene is clean. The semantic layer stays on the person sending it.
I'd rather be a boring, reliable guardrail than a confident AI editor that gets it wrong half the time. That's what kills trust in this space.
Love this concept — document QA is still massively under-automated in most enterprises, especially where compliance and formatting standards matter.
We’ve seen a similar pain point while building InsightsFlowAI, where teams struggle not just with document/process quality but also with maintaining consistency across payroll, HR, and operational data workflows.
Qualion sounds like a strong extension of that “AI-first operational governance” space.
Would love to see how you’re approaching custom rule engines / internal standards mapping at scale.
Happy to connect and exchange learnings — there’s huge demand for tools reducing repetitive manual review across enterprise ops 🚀
Thanks! The compliance /formatting angle is definitely real but for now Qualion is laser-focused on a simpler, earlier problem: the individual professional who sends a doc externally and doesn't realize there's a hidden comment, old metadata, or a placeholder still in there. Less enterprise governance, more 'protect yourself before you hit send.
Custom rule engines and internal standards mapping are on the roadmap, but that's a later phase once the core detection is validated. Happy to compare notes on what you're seeing in enterprise ops though always useful to understand where the demand actually sits.
Curious — how are you planning to handle support once users start coming in?
I’m realizing it gets messy way faster than expected, even early on.
Honestly, keeping it simple for now email with a 24h response commitment. No ticket system, no helpdesk. At this stage I'd rather talk directly to every user who hits a problem. It's slower to scale but way better for learning what's actually broken. When does it get messy for you volume, edge cases, or something else?
I’ve been seeing the same. For me it starts getting messy less because of volume, more because things get scattered:
emails, feedback, edge cases, no clear place to track what’s been seen or not.
At some point it’s not even about replying, it’s just hard to spot patterns or prioritize properly.
That’s actually what got me thinking about building something around that phase — keeping things structured without losing the direct conversations.
Are you already feeling that a bit or still manageable for now?
Exactly — 'anxiety before sending' is the emotional trigger I'm building around. It's that 2-second hesitation where you think 'wait, did I clean this properly?' Qualion is meant to replace that hesitation with confidence. Sticky because it hits every time someone sends something that matters.
that’s a really interesting angle, that hesitation right before sending is so real
I’ve mostly been focused on what happens after ,once you’ve had a bunch of those conversations and you’re trying to make sense of everything
feels like the anxiety shifts from “am I saying the right thing?” to “am I missing something important?”
curious if you’ve felt that as well
Strong evolution from doc cleaning → internal standards QA. That’s a much deeper enterprise pain.
👉 The prize pool just opened at $0. Your odds right now are the best they will ever be.
Would love to see if you’re going SMB first or enterprise teams for beta.
SMB first, no question. Consultants, recruiters, freelancers, ppl who send documents to clients and feel that anxiety before hitting send. They decide fast, pay with a card, and give feedback the same week. Enterprise is the dream but it’s a 6-month sales cycle I can’t afford right now 😓
Yeah, that’s a solid approach — SMBs really do give you speed + truth in feedback, which is exactly what you need early on. Enterprise can easily slow you down before the product is fully sharp.
That ‘sending docs before hitting send’ anxiety is actually a strong signal — feels like a very specific, emotional pain point that could be really sticky if solved well.
Also sharing something I’m building in parallel — You have an idea. $19 puts it in a real competition. Winner gets a Tokyo trip (flights + hotel booked, minimum $500 guaranteed). Round just opened, so best odds right now: tokyolore.com
