My name is Robin. I'm 22 years old, based in the Netherlands, and I've been building VoxFlow. An AI receptionist that handles inbound calls 24/7 for small and medium businesses.
Here's the problem I'm solving:
A dentist is with a patient. A physiotherapist is mid-session. A real estate agent is showing a house. The phone rings. Nobody picks up. That caller doesn't leave a voicemail? they call the next business on Google and book there instead.
This happens constantly across the Netherlands. Not because business owners don't care. Because they're doing their actual job.
Why existing solutions fail
Hiring a receptionist is expensive and only covers office hours. Traditional answering services use generic scripts and can't book appointments. Voicemail gets ignored.
I wanted to build something that actually fits how a business runs, not a generic tool, not a fixed script.
What VoxFlow does
The AI answers every inbound call in natural spoken Dutch, books appointments directly into Google Calendar or Outlook, and only transfers to a human when it's urgent. Everything shows up in a dashboard. Setup takes less than one day.
What I'm most proud of: no two VoxFlow assistants are the same. Every business configures exactly which calls the AI handles, when it transfers, how it sounds, and how it follows up. Because no two businesses are the same.
What I've learned so far
Businesses don't care about AI. They care about not missing calls. Every conversation I reframed around that converted better.
Being honest about who VoxFlow is NOT for built more trust than any feature list.
The Dutch SMB market is underserved and moves slower than tech Twitter would have you believe. Patience is a competitive advantage.
Building in public is uncomfortable when your market is offline. My customers don't read IH. But the discipline of writing forces clarity.
Where we are
Live product. First paying customers. Actively expanding across verticals like physiotherapists, dentists, real estate agencies and law firms.
Still figuring out: scalable outreach, partnerships, and how to explain AI telephony to a 55-year-old plumber in Zwolle.
Happy to answer questions about building in the Dutch market, AI telephony, or going from idea to paying customers as a teenager.

Reframing around ‘not missing calls’ instead of AI is exactly right that’s the only language SMBs respond to. The scalable outreach problem for offline businesses is the hard part though. Cold calling works better than content for a 55 year-old plumber in Zwolle. Curious what’s been your highest converting channel so far?
This stood out: "Businesses don't care about AI. They care about not missing calls." That's one of those positioning shifts that changes everything. I'd be curious whether you'll eventually narrow even further by vertical, because "never miss another patient call" or "never lose another property inquiry" feels even more concrete than an AI receptionist.
