Building an anti-paywall resume builder for true ATS stability

Hey everyone,

I got completely exhausted watching job seekers navigate the predatory monetization patterns of modern career tools.

We’ve all experienced it: you spend 45 minutes entering your detailed work history, metric achievements, and background details into a builder that claims to be "free," only to hit a rigid paywall or get tricked into a hidden recurring subscription loop right at the download screen.

Worse, many of these legacy platforms export complex visual templates with multi-column grids or graphical skill sliders. From an engineering perspective, this completely scrambles traditional Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that parse text left-to-right, ruining the candidate's screening format.

To solve this, I built an alternative: https://yourcvmaker.com

It strips away the subscription traps and forces layouts into a strict, single-column framework. I also built native multi-language backend optimization using UTF-8 text configuration so international characters don't corrupt during file conversion.

The tool is completely open. I’d love for the community to break-test the builder, review the output stability, and share feedback on features we should build next!
