Hey Indie Hackers!
I’ve been experimenting with building small, search-focused niche websites, and recently I started writing content around something super specific but widely used in Dubai:
NOL Cards.
If you live here, you know they’re used for metro, bus, parking, and more.
I noticed that a lot of people search for simple, everyday questions like:
How to check NOL card balance?
Why is my NOL card not working?
How to top up online?
So I decided to create a very focused content site around the topic:
https://nolbalance.com
Right now I’m publishing guides, troubleshooting help, and step-by-step articles for NOL users. No fancy tools, no complex features — just helpful info answering what people already search for.
Why I’m Doing This
Testing micro-niche SEO on extremely specific topics
Seeing how far one hyper-focused site can go
Understanding if small, utility-oriented content can attract organic traffic
What I’d Love Feedback On
Is this niche too narrow or just narrow enough?
What would you add to increase value?
Anyone here grown a tiny niche site into something meaningful?
Open to honest feedback. This is a fun experiment and I’m documenting as I go.
Happy to share results with anyone curious!
