Building couple page SEO websites for growth

I am still learning: mainly watching courses and reading about what is happening in SEO world in order to grow. My recent "couple page" website is Inbox For Dollars which is launched just today.

Why do I bother?
I'm looking for opportunities to grab a fairly good domain name with or without previous history.

Scenario #1 if the domain has a history, that means I can recreate at least part of the content (does not have to be exactly the same). Create a couple of pages and go live.
Scenario #2 is when you get a "fresh" domain, which has some sort of potential (e.g. exact match keyword). You can check approximately keyword volume in Google Adwords or using other tools. Create relevant content (1-2 pages) and launch.
It does not even matter, but I would suggest for each one to get a separate cheap hosting account.
Yes, this is a kinda game, however, one day you may be surprised because you will hit that #1 page on SERP.

Now How this could serve for you: growing other projects by pinpointing backlinks or just monetizing whichever way you want.
