Building database for sports
Looking for a technical partner to build the pitchbook for sports.
Pitchbook is a database of startups, venture capitalists, and fundraising events.
I'm working with my partner to build a niche database that will be monetized through subscriptions.
We have the data and the networks to build this, but not the coding skills.
How would you go about building the tech stack for a database company?

I recommend hiring for tech cofounders/developers through Githired.

just build some scriptlets to convert the data to the right format, then use something like glide to expose it IMO. No need for custom frontend for this. turn it into nightly jobs if you need constant, current info, etc.

By that you mean - the data is already structured (in a database) or in some non-standard forms (websites, CSVs, PDFs, etc.) ?
What I am asking is - do you need a coder to convert unstructured data to structured data ? OR for making the (already) structured data useable via some kinda UI/UX ?
websites and excel docs. but it's not online

Reply: I don't think there's any special way to go about building the tech stack for a database company. If you have a partner who is skilled in coding, they should be able to implement the necessary technologies. Additionally, I don't think the fact that the product is a "database company" should be a bottleneck in choosing the tech stack.
Get a competent programmer, preferably Fullstack.
