Hey IndieHackers 👋
I’m building a new bootstrap-friendly digital agency called DropCarts, and I’d love to share the vision with the community — and hopefully meet people who’d like to collaborate, advise, or build alongside me.
The Idea:
Local businesses still struggle with basic digital needs:
Most of them want solutions but can’t afford big agencies or don’t know where to start.
DropCarts aims to solve this by providing:
It’s simple, practical, and focused on real-world results for local service businesses.
Why This? (My Bootstrap Angle)
I’m starting with 0 budget, no team, and only a domain name (worth around 1600$).
Instead of raising money or hiring people I can’t afford, I’m following the IndieHacker mindset:
-start small
-sell first
-build systems
-automate
-deliver real value
-stay profitable from day 1
-grow through community + collaboration
This feels like the most natural path for me right now.
How DropCarts Will Work?
Very simple:
-We'll reach out to businesses and offer free audits
-We build landing pages + websites using modern tools
-Automate their lead flow using WhatsApp + CRM
-Help them with ads if needed
-Provide ongoing support on a retainer model
Small steps → real revenue → scalable base.
🌱 What I’m Building Next
The long-term goal:
Turn DropCarts into a lean, dependable digital ops engine for small businesses.
🤝 Looking for collaborators
I’m not looking for funding right now.
I’m not hiring full-time either.
But I am looking for:
If you enjoy building simple systems, fast MVPs, and practical digital solutions, let’s connect.
📈 My Immediate Goals
-first 5–10 paying clients
-more outreach experiments
-build in public
-create internal templates
-refine the offering
-collaborate with people who enjoy this space
💬 If this resonates with you…
Drop a comment, DM me here, or share your thoughts.
I’d love to learn from other IndieHackers, share progress openly, and find a few like-minded builders to collaborate with as DropCarts grows.
Thanks for reading!
Excited to contribute and grow with this community.
This is a solid real-world problem — so many local businesses need digital presence and automation more than they know.
I especially like the 0-budget, bootstrap-first mindset and focus on systems + real revenue.
Curious how you’re approaching lead qualification right now — are you testing offers first (free audits → paid) or going straight to paid proposals?
Happy to share a couple of outreach + automation angles that have worked for similar builds.
Hey Harsh, sorry for the radio silence! I’ve been completely buried in the logistics side of things for the last few months.
The bootstrap grind is real—I’ve actually managed to build a list of about 5,000 targeted leads and landed my first few clients. It’s been a solid proof of concept.
Now that the foundation is there, I’m starting to look at how to pull those same clients into DropCarts. They’re already working with me on the logistics side, but their digital setups are usually a mess, so there's a massive opportunity to help them automate their lead flow.
I’m still really interested in those outreach and automation angles you mentioned earlier. Now that I have a warm base to test things on, I’d love to hear what’s been working for you lately?
Hi Abhijeet,
"A library of templates for websites & landing pages" - that's Squarespace.
However, I like that you are not the get rich quick type Indie hacker. I can't fully partner up with you but I can offer you my product Uclusion for free AND I'm happy to collaborate with you inside Uclusion on a bounce ideas around level.
David
Hey David, sorry for the late response... I’ve been deep in the trenches for the last few months!
I totally get the Squarespace comparison, but what I’ve realized is that most of the guys I’m working with in logistics don’t even have the time to look at Squarespace, let alone build something that actually converts. I’m finding that the.. service is the real product they’re buying.
I’ve actually managed to build a list of around 5k+ leads and signed my first few clients recently, so the momentum is finally picking up.
I’d love to take you up on the offer to check out Uclusion and bounce some ideas around. It’s always good to have a second pair of eyes on the systems as I try to scale this.
