Building FoundersInno: A simple grid to showcase what founders are building

One thing I’ve noticed as a founder is how scattered it is to discover what others are building. You have to check Twitter, LinkedIn, Discords, Slacks… and even then, it’s easy to miss interesting startups. Visibility for early founders ends up depending more on luck than discovery.

I’m building FoundersInno ( https://foundersinno.com ) to fix this: a simple grid-style platform where founders can showcase their startups in one place. The goal is to make it easier to:

Get your startup seen without endless self-promotion.

Discover what others are working on at a glance.

Spark connections and feedback between builders.

Right now it’s super lightweight, but I’m curious: would a centralized “showcase” like this actually be useful to you as a founder, or do you feel you already get enough visibility from existing platforms?

Hi! This looks like a really promising project — I love the idea of a centralized platform for founders to showcase their startups.

I’m an Operations & BizDev / Project Manager and would love to contribute to growing FoundersInno, helping with user feedback, coordination, and strategy to reach more founders effectively.

Just joined the waitlist 🙌 Love the exposure for startups angle—finding builders across X/LinkedIn/Discord is way too scattered. A simple grid + solid discovery could be super useful. Quick ideas: tags (stage, category, geo), weekly spotlight, “founder asks” (beta users/intros/hiring), lightweight DM/intros, and a weekly email/RSS digest so I can browse once instead of chasing links. Rooting for this!

Thanks so much for joining the waitlist and for the thoughtful ideas — really appreciate it! Tags and categories are definitely on the roadmap, and I love the weekly spotlight + digest idea to cut through the noise without chasing 10 different platforms.

Curious — if you had to pick just one of those features to see first, which would be the most valuable for you as a founder?

Appreciate the reply! If I had to pick one: the weekly email/RSS digest—one scan and I'm caught up without chasing 10 tabs. Next I'd ship Founder Asks.

Side note: I'm building a lightweight synthetic user interview tool that pressure-tests positioning and feature priority (e.g., "digest vs founder asks vs tags" for founder personas). If helpful, I can run FoundersInno through it and DM a 1-pager on which promise pulls stronger + what to lead with (free beta). Happy to be an early tester as you ship.

Discovery really is scattered across X, LinkedIn, Discords, and random chats, so a clean grid that shows “who’s building what” in one place makes sense. A few ideas to make it useful on day one:

    • Add “looking for” flags on each card (feedback, early users, intros, hiring) so people know how to engage.
    • Tight intake: one-line pitch + 30-sec demo + problem and market tags. Filter by stage and category.
    • Quality and growth loop: verify via domain or GitHub, boost recently updated projects, and ship an embeddable card founders can add to their site to send curiosity back to the grid.

What would you treat as the activation moment here: first profile live, first inbound message, or first feedback comment?

This is super helpful, thank you 🙏. I really like the idea of adding 'looking for' flags — that would make engagement a lot clearer right away.

On activation, I’ve been leaning toward first feedback comment as the key moment — it feels like that’s when a profile shifts from static to interactive. But I could see 'first inbound message' being just as strong. Curious if you’ve seen one work better in other communities?

And yes, I’d definitely be interested in your GTM checklist — happy to learn from what’s worked for you at Buzz.
