Building GistPad.com – A Privacy‑First Snippet Sharing Tool

Hey Indie Hackers,

I’m Mohamed, a developer and security researcher who’s been frustrated for years with how complicated it is to share code or text snippets. Most tools either demand sign‑ups, clutter the page with ads, or bury the snippet under unnecessary features.

So I built GistPad.com — a lightweight, privacy‑first tool where you paste your snippet, get a clean link, and share it instantly. No accounts, no tracking, no distractions. Just paste → link → share.

Why I built it:

• Sharing logs and configs in bug reports was always messy.

• Existing tools felt bloated or intrusive.

• I wanted something that respected privacy and worked instantly.
