Building Howflow in public Update #2

It has been a nerve-wracking week. 😓

But sharing the 3rd-week update of Howflow with you all is like therapy to me. (Talking out loud)

I spent the majority of the week connecting to Chrome Extension and saving the data in the database.

Thought it will be pretty straightforward, but handling multipart/form-data on the server-side in Nextjs is not a cakewalk for sure.

Discovered some libraries to make it work, still playing around with them though.

And the obvious battle with the bugs persists.🐞

In addition, experimenting with various cloud storage services. My current choices are Uploadcare, S3 bucket & Digital Ocean spaces. Any suggestions would be appreciated on this.

Now, let’s look at some good things that happened this week-

• Reached 30/50 users in the beta waitlist

• Completed demo video on the landing page

• Implemented passwordless email sign up to give it a secure touch
• Completed External APIs

This week’s focus-

• Completing Chrome Extension connection
• Protecting API routes
• Figuring out client-side screenshot annotations
• Collecting 10 more beta signups
