Building In Africa For Global Audience

Independently building an app that helps people find their cars in crowded or unfamiliar parking lots like shopping malls and airports sounds like an exciting task, it's not so exciting when you are doing it in an African country with limited resources and no paying customer.

My research showed me that end-users wanted the solution, this is an existing problem I am trying to solve but they were not willing to pay for it. Now I have an MVP but no revenue model. The simplest revenue model could think of is mobile advertising. Simply re-designing the app to accommodate ads and I get money from every user who installs the app.

Number one challenge of cashing in on ad-revenue is that you need excessive traffic and a massive marketing budget, the two things I do not have at the moment. All I have right now is a basic ad-enabled app to demonstrate my vision.

I am nowhere close to reach my product development goals. The app is still in its early stages but good enough to demonstrate its purpose to users and other interested stakeholders.
My purpose in this amazing Indie Hackers community is the grow my user-base and re-invest the ad-revenue into the product I am trying to build.
