Building In Public: Young Makers

We all have those fears like these:

  • not succeeding
  • people are gonna dislike what I share
  • criticism of my writing
  • copycats

I'm a huge IndieHackers lurker since my 2nd year of college. I'm currently in my final semester now and I'm done living a life of fear and mediocrity. Having absorbed a lot of knowledge, I've not actively applied much of what I have read. But i'm going to change the way I do things.

The first step would be to build my latest side project, Young Makers in public.

Young Makers is an editorial driven platform that allows me to interview makers on their successes and break them down into discrete, actionable components. Fellow wantre-makers and makers could easily find relevant components for their own use as when they want to through extensive filters. There's big plans for it, but baby steps!

It's also the website that I wished I had when I was starting out indie hacking as a college student.

Every day, I will tweet my progress on my Twitter thread. If this is something that you might enjoy reading, follow me on Twitter! I love making online friends and will appreciate your support!

Every week, I will summarize my learnings in an Indie Hackers posts so fellow IHers/makers can learn from whatever I can teach as I make my side project.
