Building Is Getting Easier. Getting Discovered Is Getting Harder.

AI and no-code tools have made it easier than ever to build a SaaS or launch an idea.
But now there's another problem:
Thousands of products are being built. How does someone discover yours?
You don't just need another place to announce what you built. You need a place where people can actually browse and discover useful products.
That’s what we’re building with Launch Nest.

The "announce vs. browse" distinction is doing real work here, and I think it's under-discussed. Most launch platforms optimize for a 24-hour spike (a good day on the front page), not for someone finding your product three months later while actually looking for that category of tool. Those are structurally different problems — one is a traffic event, the other is closer to an SEO/discovery surface that has to stay useful long after the launch-day crowd has moved on.

The open question for me is retention of the browsing behavior itself: does Launch Nest give people a reason to come back and browse when they're not actively launching something, or does it mostly get traffic from founders checking their own listing? A discovery platform only compounds if the browsing side has its own pull, independent of the submission side.

The hard part is no longer getting something live; it’s earning enough focused attention to learn from real users. I’ve had better results with one narrow audience and repeated conversations than with a broad launch blast.

The measurement trap with discovery: you can spend months optimizing for visibility (reach, impressions, followers) while silently ignoring the channels where people actually convert. A 500-person niche community at 8% signup rate beats a 50k list at 0.2%. The metric you pick determines which channels you'll keep running - measure the wrong thing and you'll abandon your best channel for a worse one that "feels" more productive. Resonance-to-reach ratio (engagement %) cuts through the noise.

The discovery problem is real. We spent €150 on Google Ads and got 0 installs — distribution is the moat now, not the product. The best channel? Showing up in conversations where people already ask for solutions. Timing beats volume.
