Building Karobar β A Simple Business Dashboard for Small Shops π
Hi everyone π
Iβm a solo developer currently building Karobar, a simple business management web app designed for small shops and local businesses.
The idea came from seeing many businesses still handling daily operations through notebooks, calculators, and scattered records. Existing software often feels too complicated or overwhelming for smaller businesses.
So I decided to build something simpler and easier to use.
Karobar brings daily business operations into one dashboard:
π¦ Inventory management
π§Ύ Quick billing & invoice creation
π΅ Customer dues & supplier payment tracking
π Profit and sales reports
π₯ Customer & supplier management
π Shareable digital shop & product catalog
β‘ Fast workflows for everyday sales
The goal is to make business management simple, modern, and practical for non-technical users.
Fast POS-style billing for counter sales.
Create and manage invoices, GST bills, and payment tracking.
Track stock levels, low-stock products, and product movement.
Maintain customer balances, supplier dues, and payment history.
Get a quick overview of sales, receivables, alerts, and catalog status.
Businesses can share their shop and product catalog with customers online.
Most small businesses donβt need complicated ERP systems.
They need tools that are:
simple,
mobile-friendly,
fast,
and easy to start using without training.
Thatβs the direction Iβm taking with Karobar.
Currently improving:
onboarding experience
UI/UX
reporting
catalog sharing
inventory workflows
backups/import/export
staff access management
Would love feedback from:
small business owners
retail shop operators
Especially interested in hearing:
what features feel most useful
pain points in existing apps
what would make onboarding easier for non-technical users
Thanks for reading π
