Building marketing tool for podcasters in public

Hello Hackers!

A few weeks ago I came up with the idea to build a tool that would make podcasters’ marketing efforts easier. To reactivate my Twitter/X account I’ve decided to build it in public!

AdAmply is a tool where you can add your podcast using your RSS link, connect your social media accounts and whenever you add a new episode of your podcast a beautiful audiogram video gets published to your social media - it’s gonna be a short version, kind of a trailer. You can see a screenshot in the cover photo!

That’s only the MVP though! I’m planning to add a full support for publishing FB/Instagram/TikTok/YouTube ads in Q1 of 2024 (also depends if I can get YT upload quota exceeded). To opt-in the podcaster will only need authenticate ad accounts in a few clicks and set the budgets.

I hope you like the idea and if you want to be kept updated feel free to sign up to the waiting list here:

https://adamply.com

And of course feedback is more than welcome! 🙏

PS. You can check progress by following me on Twitter!

This is going to be great. As a person who consumes a lot of podcasts, I think this will be very useful for the production process.

Thank you, I hope podcast creators will see it the same way! 🙏

        Me too. You’re welcome.

Neat! As a big podcast fan, I'll definitely be checking it out. (The more we can automate the better :)

Awesome, happy to see that you like it! Feel free to sign up to waiting list if you want to stay updated. Do you have a podcast yourself?

I do...I took a break for a while but planning to launch a new season in a couple months. Do you have a podcast?

I made a few attempts, but I have never been happy with the results and buried them 🙈 What’s yours called?

Apologies for the delay - I thought my response went through earlier but apparently it didn't. It's called Charityy (with 2ys)!

Ultra super like it! Thanks for facing this and all the good vibes to you!

Words like this motivate me even more, thanks! 🙏 Are you a podcaster as well?

Your plan to use AdAmply to directly address podcasters' demands for seamless marketing sounds creative and exciting. Making audiogram movies straight from podcast episodes for social media promotion is an interesting and useful idea.

Thank you for your feedback! This is my second attempt on B2C product, let’s hope I’ll ace this one 🤞

Nice name/domain! Def could see this branching into larger adspace :)

This caught my eye - "it’s gonna be a short version, kind of a trailer"
If you could do a Klap/Submagic integration and capture some salient points, that would rock.

I've seen a few Podcasting As a Service type of Productized Services, might be a great b2b option too!

I’m glad you like it! Actually, I have already figured out the way to identify the most attractive key-moment with automatic transcription, which I believe will be a killer feature :)

I used to build https://mediabits.io/, which at the time was similar to wavve.co, getaudiogram.com, headliner.app or even vokal.co. Now there seem be over a dozen excellent tools for repurposing videos, especially long-form to shorts/reels/TikTok: Submagic, Qlip, Vidyo, Capcut, Dumme, Opus clip, Klap, Smilimedia and others...

How is your going to be different? Because I don't think trying to outcompete them on "more features for cheaper" is viable.

Thanks for the reply, these are valid points, but I don’t want to focus entirely on podcast repurposing but rather automated ad campaigns (paid) via different networks like YT ads, in-stream Instagram/fb/tiktok ads. I believe the strongest USP will be automated targeting and A/B tests later on.

If you are writing blogs to get more signup for your podcast, I would suggests you to try the tool that I made decentool.com . The tool will analyze thousands of keywords based on its volume, traffic and difficulty and give you the 100 best keywords to target.

Check it out and let me know what you think.
