Many people think that reducing users to goals and applying design thinking will social problems like meaningless-ness, anxiety and loneliness. Others think that we can reduce humans to 10 core needs and solve for those. Game theory doesn't often support healthy types of connection.
While all of these are helpful. Designing social systems, systems made of people, where there are codified and mutually understood roles and responsibilities are much more complex. It requires us to approach things differently.
We don't have all the answers but we've been successful at redesigning room-scale social systems using the methods outlined in this handbook @ https://social-arts.org/ I would love your feedback especially if you are new to this topic.
This is meant to be an easier to access version of the theoretical leans that our sister company https://human-systems.org/ lays the groundwork for but to tackle large scale social systems.
