I’ve been building an AI hairstyle preview tool called Morphlook.
The original idea was surprisingly simple:
People spend a lot of time browsing hairstyle inspiration photos online, but still have no idea whether a hairstyle will actually look good on them.
Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok — endless inspiration.
But almost no personalization.
So I started building a browser-based AI tool that lets users:
upload a selfie
choose a hairstyle
preview the result with AI
The interesting part is that I’m not trying to build “another AI photo app”.
I’m trying to build an appearance decision platform.
That means combining:
AI hairstyle previews
face-shape recommendations
hairstyle SEO pages
before/after comparisons
shareable result pages
Current stack:
Next.js
Supabase
Replicate
Vercel
Creem
One thing I’ve learned:
AI products without distribution are fragile.
So I’ve been thinking a lot about:
SEO-driven product design
Pinterest traffic
long-tail keyword pages
programmatic content
shareable AI result pages
For example:
Instead of only having a “generate” page, I’m building pages like:
/hairstyles/bob
/face-shapes/oval-face/women
Then connecting those pages directly into the AI try-on flow.
The goal is:
search intent → hairstyle discovery → AI preview → conversion
Still very early stage, but I’m learning a lot about combining:
AI + SEO + consumer psychology + lightweight SaaS execution.
Would love feedback from other indie hackers building AI consumer products.
Strong idea: AI + SEO + product pages is a good combo. Programmatic pages like "/bob" or face-shapes is smart
