Building MVP using No-Code (Build in Public #1)

Hellow IH,
I've been following Pieter Levels and Pierre de Wulf (Scrapingbee) for a while and wanted to try building in public. So I guess this is the time since I want to try this project.

Founding and building DiggerInsights taught me how founders find opportunities and how to turn existing problems into solutions. It led me to start creating an all-in-one book community platform app.

IDEA ORIGIN
I have weekly book club meetings with my friends, and I would say it's pretty disorganized. Sometimes people tend to change schedules, and we understand that and are willing to change the meeting schedule.

So far we're using WhatsApp because our group is not that large. It's so damn hard to manage these in WhatsApp group chat (Please don't do it).

Eventually, we moved to a platform created for book club, it looks quite janky, but it does the work, much better than doing it on WhatsApp.

I found out that some of my friends who asked for schedule changes are having a hard time keeping up with their reading because they have a tendency to procrastinate the reading and end up reading the entire half of the book 1 day before the meeting.

They told me that they really want to read it but they're having a hard time with this reading issue. So that's where I started to look for existing solutions and ended up starting to create this new app.

PROBLEM

• Janky existing app
• People want to have a reading better reading habit
  Then when I posted a hypothetical solution for this on Reddit, some people actually wanted to join the app. They came up with a few "It'd be good if the app have…" This is what they came up with:
• Social features like chatting and finding new reading friends
• Accountability reading partner instead of the whole book club or reading group thing
• find local friends, and join a local group
• find people locally who are reading the same book to make friends
• Book writing tools and readers' comments as the writer progresses with the book
• Goodreads integration
  And some more.

It suddenly became an all-in-one book solution, I'd probably need more $$$ than what I was planning to spend to build all the requested features 🤣. So I'd have to filter all the features and make priority of the ones that are more essential for the MVP.

SOLUTION
This is my current hypothetical solution: an all-in-one book hub where people can create book clubs, join them, or enjoy reading solo. It'd be more social than the existing solution (mostly looks like an LMS).

Business model -> possibly books affiliation commission, ads, or subscription. Or it can also be a combination of those

Process:
Build a quick landing page using Framer + Figma
Build a quick MVP using Flutterflow
Feedback, Iterate
Start coding when people are getting on board (when I see good signs)

Exciting right?
and don't forget the AI! AI moderator! AI personalized book recommendation! Maybe more ideas in the future as I iterate.
