I have ventured out on a limb here to create a small thing for developers (in the U.S. and Canada) to use to send text messages to people who have opted into notifications for something.
I have another SaaS in the texting space, so I've got texting on the brain and wanted to branch out a bit with a bit of a different problem set. An overall much smaller scope.
Problem: As a developer, I want to send a text message from my application to interested parties, but I don't want to mess with buying a phone number, doing the regulatory compliance parts, and other associated setup.
I haven't actually built the thing yet, but did add a waitlist to the site. I will work on it this week and would imagine I have something ready to test with people in a week or so.
I don't have the business model figured out and am still debating some of the features, though it's mostly just going to be a single endpoint that you call to get a text out. Would love to hear any considerations if this is something interesting to you or feedback on the (minimal) content on the site that explains the thing.
Thanks!
