Building nocal: calendar and notes that works the way we actually work

Most calendar and productivity apps assume work is perfectly structured. They try to time block every hour or force you into rigid systems.

But real work is more freeform than that.

I built nocal around the idea that your calendar can be both flexible and highly organized at the same time.

Each week becomes a kind of project board and living note. You can capture ideas, meeting notes, and plans directly alongside your schedule, and that context carries forward week to week.

Notes can easily embed inside other notes, which makes it possible to build a kind of second brain over time.

At the same time, nocal is still a powerful calendar. It brings all your Google Calendar accounts together and integrates meetings directly with your notes so scheduling and thinking live in the same place.

The goal is simple: a calendar that works the way we actually work. Freeform when you need it, structured when it matters.

Would love feedback from other builders here.
