Building ProfileTap β€” a smarter way to share identity using NFC + QR

Hey everyone πŸ‘‹

I’ve been working on something called ProfileTap β€” a smart identity platform using NFC and QR.

The idea came from a simple observation:
We still share static visiting cards, but our identity today is dynamic β€” links, reviews, social presence, and even safety info.

So I started building a system where one profile can power everything:

  • Tap or scan to share instantly

  • Update anytime without reprinting

  • Help businesses collect and improve reviews

  • Add safety use cases (kids, pets, travel, vehicles)

It’s still early, and I’m figuring out:

  • What’s the strongest use case? (business vs safety vs creator)

  • Pricing model (one-time vs subscription vs hybrid)

  • How to make offline β†’ online conversion seamless

Would love feedback from the community:
πŸ‘‰ Which use case feels the most valuable to you?
πŸ‘‰ Would you actually use something like this?

Appreciate any thoughts πŸ™Œ

    hello founder of ProfileTap .io

I just read your ProfileTap post. This part really resonated: "I'm figuring out: What's the strongest use case? Pricing model? How to make offline β†’ online conversion seamless."

That's exactly the struggle every solo builder faces. You have a solid product idea, but then you're juggling multiple directions at once β€” business vs safety vs creator use cases, pricing strategy, conversion flow. Figuring out what to prioritize each day, staying focused when there's three different paths you could take β€” that's the hard part.

I'm not selling anything β€” just talking to solo builders about how you actually manage planning and daily execution when you're deciding between multiple directions.

Would you be open to a quick 20-minute call about how you're handling priorities right now with ProfileTap? I think your perspective would be really valuable.
