Hey everyone! ๐ I'm Haseeb, a full-stack developer and indie hacker from India.
I'm currently building PulseBoard โ an AI-powered uptime monitoring platform. It monitors websites and APIs, sends outage alerts, and uses AI to investigate incidents by reasoning over monitoring data, deployment history, and other evidence instead of giving generic explanations.
Congrats on launching PulseBoard โ I like the direction here. The interesting part isnโt just uptime monitoring (there are many tools doing that), but the attempt to solve the frustrating second question founders and developers have during an outage: โWhy did this happen?โ
One messaging opportunity Iโd explore is making that differentiation even sharper above the fold. A visitor comparing monitoring tools may understand โalertsโ instantly, but the AI incident analysis angle is where PulseBoard seems genuinely different.
Iโd also consider speaking more directly to the pain during an outage: wasted debugging time, switching between dashboards, and uncertainty about the root cause. Those emotional moments are often what drive someone to try a tool like this.
The product direction is clear, but I noticed a few positioning opportunities that could help the value click faster for the right users.
If useful, I do a $10 homepage audit where I document conversion friction points and practical copy improvements.
Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback โ especially the points about making the โwhy did this happen?โ problem more prominent and reducing the need to jump between different dashboards during an incident.
Iโm going to work through the positioning and homepage changes myself for now, but I really appreciate you taking the time to share these suggestions. Definitely something Iโll keep in mind as PulseBoard evolves. ๐
I think youโre focusing on the right area โ the โwhy did this happen?โ moment is a strong angle because thatโs where the real frustration starts after an alert.
Good luck with the next iterations of PulseBoard. Iโll be interested to see how you refine the positioning as you get more user feedback. ๐
