I tried competing with Bitly-ish products too, and the part people kept bringing up wasnt shorter links, it was what happens after a QR gets printed and the campaign changes. ScanLoop is the narrower thing I'm building around that mess, editable destinations plus placement-level scan history, so I like that you're framing flexibility instead of just cheap links.
