Hey Hackers! 👋
I’m Reda, a Data Engineer turned Indie Hacker. I’ve been working on Overview (overviewdata.io), and I wanted to share why I decided to attack a specific niche instead of building just another generic "spy tool," plus some hard lessons I learned this week.
If you look at the current e-commerce and dropshipping landscape, it’s crowded. Beginners are burning their budgets testing the same "winning products" from the US/EU that simply don’t work in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA).
Existing tools charge $150+/mo and treat the MENA region as an afterthought. They focus on global volume, ignoring local nuances like dialects or cash-on-delivery behaviors.
I’m building Overview to change that. I used my background in data engineering to build a tool that ignores the global noise and focuses strictly on localized, hidden trends in the Gulf and North Africa. The goal is to help merchants catch specific regional waves before they get crowded.
I built Overview to replace guesswork with precision, giving you a complete intelligence suite to dominate untapped markets. Here is how it works:
Deep Geo-Filtering & Niche Segmentation: Stop drowning in global noise. Isolate specific high-potential markets (like KSA, UAE, or France) and filter strictly by your vertical to see only the trends that matter.
Market Study Tool: Validate your ideas with data, not gut feeling. This tool analyzes demand and saturation levels instantly so you never waste budget on a dead product.
Ad Creatives Analysis: We don't just show you the ads; we dissect them. Uncover the exact hooks, angles, and creative strategies competitors are using to drive their sales.
Niche > Broad: Trying to scrape "The World" is expensive and useless. Focusing on MENA allowed me to build better data quality for a specific user base.
SEO/GEO is a must for every founder: I realized that optimization isn't just "marketing fluff"—it’s a deep engineering requirement. From technical Sitemaps to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), if you don't architect your code structure for discovery, neither Google nor AI models will ever find you.
Data needs context: Telling a user a product has "500 likes" is useless. Telling them "This product has 500 likes in Saudi Arabia where the CPM is $8" tells a story of profitability.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the landing page or the tool itself. If you are building in the e-commerce or data space, let’s connect!
