🚀 Building The Tiny Sleep Method — My First Digital Product (and Why Sleep Is Broken)

First post — would love feedback from the community!

Hey Indie Hackers 👋
I’m FBScience, and I’m building my first digital product: The Tiny Sleep Method — a simple, science-based guide that helps people improve sleep through tiny, consistent habits instead of overwhelming routines.

Why I’m building this

Most people don’t have a clinical sleep disorder.
They just have inconsistent, unhelpful micro-habits that silently destroy their rest.

But everyone online keeps talking about:

  • fancy supplements

  • perfect night routines

  • $300 weighted blankets

  • 15-step “sleep optimization protocols”

Nobody talks about the small, realistic behaviors that actually move the needle.

I wanted to change that.

What I’m creating

A 10-page guide that combines:

  • 🧠 Behavior design (BJ Fogg)

  • 🔁 Habit loops

  • 🌙 Sleep hygiene fundamentals

  • 👣 Tiny daily actions that build real momentum

My goal:
Make good sleep feel simple, accessible, and doable — even for tired, busy people.

Why I’m posting here

This is my first time building in public and my first time attempting to sell something online.
I’d love to hear from people who’ve launched small info products before:

  • What helped your first sales?

  • Do 10-page guides actually sell if they deliver value?

  • Anything you wish you knew earlier?

What I’ve done so far

✔ Outlined the guide
✔ Wrote the theory section
✔ Created a 1-page summary
✔ Built the Gumroad listing (still polishing visuals)
✔ Defined the positioning: “Small habits → Big sleep wins”

What’s next

  • Launch publicly

  • Build a Notion version

  • Share early data + iterations here

  • Keep improving based on feedback

Hey FBScience, it's great to see you tackling such an important topic with a focus on realistic, bite-sized habits! I think your approach to simplifying sleep improvement is really refreshing. I'm curious to see how your guide evolves, especially with the emphasis on behavior design and habit loops. Have you thought about any specific marketing strategies for your launch? Best of luck with everything!

Love this approach. So many sleep products overcomplicate things, but tiny, consistent habits are actually what make the biggest difference. A 10-page guide is perfect if it’s practical and easy to apply — people want clarity, not another long “optimization protocol.” Excited to see how this evolves!
