Building VSR: A Reflex Layer for Machines When AI Is Too Slow

I’m working on VSR (Visual Spinal Reflex) — a reflex-based safety system for machines.

Most autonomous systems rely on this pipeline:
see → understand → decide → act.
It’s powerful, but in safety-critical moments, it’s often too slow.

Humans don’t work that way.
When something suddenly flies at your face, you move before you think.

VSR exists to give machines a similar visual reflex layer:

  • Event-driven visual input

  • Direct, low-latency trigger paths

  • No scene understanding, no prediction

  • Just fast reaction to critical visual change

Right now, I’m preparing a 100-unit pilot program to validate this approach with real hardware, real latency measurements, and real failure cases.

What I’m looking for

I’m currently open to collaborating with:

  • Hardware-savvy PMs

  • Marketers experienced with Kickstarter / deep-tech launches

  • Engineers interested in robotics, ADAS, or safety-critical systems

Not looking for hype — looking for people who care whether something actually works.

If this sounds interesting, I’d love to hear your thoughts or feedback.
